June Sandwiches and May Wrapup
Hi everyone! Another month is in the rear view here at the Tribunal, and another three sandwiches have been checked off our List. Two of them were even pretty good! I could see myself enjoying a lobster roll fairly regularly if they weren’t so darn expensive, and while belly lox is pretty intense, I’ll always be a fan of some cured salmon with cream cheese on a nice bagel. I suppose if I lived in Monroe, Wisconsin I’d eventually become a fan of Limburger sandwiches too, but it’s just as well that I don’t.
And now, what’s in store for us in June?
I always thought the Luther burger was a bacon cheeseburger in a glazed donut, but it turns out maybe the bacon and the cheese are optional? I have trepidations but I must admit, part of me is looking forward to it. We have another sweet/savory combination in the Mallorca de jamon y queso, which is a Spanish pastry that Puerto Ricans enjoy stuffing with ham and cheese. And finally there’s the Marmite sandwich, one that we first encountered way back in January of 2015. I hope we like it better this time around!
There may be a few extra posts coming up soon as well. I ate so many sandwiches in NYC last week, not to mention that I’ve been sitting on a breaded pork tenderloin post ever since Easter that I just haven’t gotten around to yet. Keep reading, I’ll get there eventually.
Changes to the List
No major changes this month, just the usual vandalism, spam, and infighting over hot dogs.
The idea behind this site is to explore the nature of sandwichness by eating every sandwich on the Official en.wikipedia.org List of Sandwiches and then to post here about it, preferably with lots of pictures and also words. Sandwich words.
