April List Sandwiches and March wrapup
Wow. Fluffernutters. Fool’s Gold Loaves. Francesinhas. March was quite a month. I can’t say any of those sandwiches were my favorite, but we did eat them! We ate the sandwiches, we wrote about the sandwiches, and it’s time to move on to the next month.
In April we’ll be covering these:
The Francesinha poveira is a variant of the Francesinha we just covered, but in a French roll instead of sliced bread, and with fewer meats, and with a compound butter instead of the tomato/beer sauce… To be honest, it’s not much like a Francesinha at all. French dip is a well-known American roast beef sandwich served in a crusty roll with jus. And that last one…. Fried brain sandwiches. Huh. I uh don’t know how I’m going to handle that one but we’ll see.
I’d love to hear from anybody who knows anything about these sandwiches, or would like to write about them this month. Hit us up in the comments below!
The idea behind this site is to explore the nature of sandwichness by eating every sandwich on the Official en.wikipedia.org List of Sandwiches and then to post here about it, preferably with lots of pictures and also words. Sandwich words.
